JPL GDAC announces datacasting

The GDAC is pleased to announce the availability of AMSR-E, AVHRR and TMI Level-2P data streams through Datacasting. http://ghrsst.jpl.nasa.gov/datacasting/ Using Datacasting, users subscribe to the Level-2P Datacasting feeds to see the lists of recently available files within the corresponding data streams. They can then create filters in order to identify, view and download (manually or automatically) files within the data streams that meet a specific need. For example one can identify the files where the maximum SST exceeds a specific threshold in order to search for anomalies or where the % of cloud free pixels exceeds a specific threshold to identify images that can be used in presentations. Ancillary fields can be identified that might indicate a potential retrieval error.
